Avant Theatre has successfully completed its Bhishma Production Tour to India and Sri Lanka. We were received by warm fellow men and arts appreciative people in both countries. The production received raving reviews mainly highlighting Tamil Theatre in Singapore and appreciated the clarity, profound use of Tamil Language. Puravalan as Bhishma was highly talked about by the high arts circle of Tamil Nadu and Jaffna. Deeply appreciate Manu Arts India and all promoters in Sri Lanka mainly Dynamik Event Management in Colombo and Mr Akilan of Jaffna togather with all media, Press and TV station for the support and Publicity. After the successful staging of Avant Theatre’s maiden presentation in Singapore ‘BHISHMA, the GRANDSIRE & BHISHMA, the PITAMAHA’, on 2ND & 3RD September 2011 at the Substation, Black Box Theatre for a full house crowd, is now invited to perform in INDIA and SRI LANKA. A well deserving gift as we celebrate our 10 years of Artistic Excellence since 2001. Having seen our quality presentation, Maanu Arts (India) is inviting Avant Theatre to restage, Bhishma in Chennai India and Jaffna Sri Lanka. Maanu Arts have a strong performance and promotional background in India, highly supported by the Doyen of the Arts. Bhishma will be staged in India on the 29th and 30th October and charity shows for organisations like, The Spastics Society of Tamilnadu (SPASTN) on 31st October, thereafter Bhishma will be staged in Sri Lanka on the 4th and 5th November 2011. Performance workshops and seminars are conducted by the Avant Team to students and Theatre Practitioners.
